IPL 2022: In the latest developments, Chennai Super Kings' 'former' captain & the most expensive retained player, Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2022.
Chennai Super Kings confirmed the same on their website on May 11th (Wednesday).
"Ravindra Jadeja reported a bruised rib and was unavailable for Chennai Super Kings' game against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. He was under observation and based on medical advice he has been ruled out for the rest of the IPL season." posted by CSK on their official website.
Jadeja was announced as CSK captain after MS Dhoni resigned from the post 2 days prior to the start of the tournament. However, CSK under Jadeja failed to perform and is currently placed on the second last spot on the points table. Citing his bad form as the reason, Jadeja stepped down from captaincy and handed the post back to veteran Skipper MS Dhoni.
