RCB W vs DEL W: Shafali Verma and Meg Lannings' destructive batting takes Delhi Capitals to a huge total of 220 at a loss of just 2 wickets in the second match of WPL 2023 here at Brabourne Stadium.
After winning the toss RCB called DC to bat first, but their decision got overturned by Shafali Verma who slammed a fiery 84 runs off 45 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. Shafali got a blistering 162 runs opening wicket stand with Meg Lanning who knocked 72 runs in 43 balls including 14 fours.
After Verma, Lanning departed, Marizanne Kapp stood up and pounded quick 39 runs in 17 deliveries with 3 fours and 3 sixes which took Delhi capitals past to 200 runs mark. Jemimah Rodrigues also played till the end of 20 overs and scored 22 runs in 15 balls.
DC lost two wickets which fell in the 14th over by Heather Knight who finished her 3-over quota with 2/40.
