Before this, Mohammad Siraj has played just a single ODI match, in 2019 against Australia at their home. In that match, Siraj was expensive as he gave away 76 runs in 10 overs, without picking up a wicket. However, after that Siraj has revamped and has been exceptional for team India in tests. Moreover, Siraj is the only bowler to bowl 2 maiden overs in a single match in IPL, which proves his limited-over capabilities.
The ODI series between South Africa and India is set to begin from January 17th at Paarl. KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma.
