SLW vs AUSW: Despite Sri Lanka's sturdy top order batting, Australia's Megan Schutt picked up 4 wickets as her team restricted the opposition to 112/8 in 20 overs. 

After a strong opening stand of 30 runs, Sri Lanka endured a big blow in the form of their captain, Chamari Athapaththu's wicket. Ellyse Perry got the Lankan spinner for 34 runs and broke through for Australia. 

Vishi Gunaratne managed to etch a partnership of 39 runs with Harshitha Samarawickrama for the 2nd wicket, but when the latter was dismissed in the 14th over, Australian bowlers managed to take over and halt Sri Lanka to a small total.

Harshitha was the top scorer for her team with 34 runs while Megan Schutt picked up 4 wickets for just 24 runs in her 4 overs. Grace Harris picked up 2 wickets while Ellyse Perry and Georgia Wareham managed 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Australia captain Meg Lanning won the toss & opted to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the 11th match of Women's T20 World Cup 2023. This match is being played at St George's Park, Gqeberha.
