In the 11th match of CWG, South Africa women's team chased down a meagre target of 47 against Sri Lanka, winning the match by 10 wickets.
Chasing a low total, South African openers Anneke Bosch (20*) and Tazmin Brits (21*) blasted to the target in just 6.1 overs. However, South Africa had lost both their games prior to this - against New Zealand and England and have been eliminated.
In the first innings, South Africa women's team came out all guns blazing in their last group B match against Sri Lanka, where they bowled out the opposition for just 46 runs in 17.1 overs.
For South Africa, Nadine de Klerk was the highest wicket-taker with 3 wickets. Masabata Klaas picked up 2 wickets while S Ismail, N Mlaba and C Tryon managed 1 wicket each.
Sri Lankan captain Athapaththu was the top scorer for her team and the only batter to cross the double-digit mark with her 15 runs off 29 balls.

Earlier, South Africa captain Sune Luus won the toss & opted to bowl first against Sri Lanka in the 11th match of Commonwealth Games 2022. This match is being played at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
