SL vs PAK 2nd Test - With a tremendous performance after losing the first test, the Sri Lankans bounced back in the second test to defeat Pakistan by 246 runs and level the 2-match series 1-1.
Chasing 507 was always gonna be a task for any team on day 5 of a test match in subcontinent conditions. Captain Babar Azam put up a fight with 81 runs while Imam-u-Haq contributed with 49 runs.
However, Sri Lankan spinners spun a web and restricted Pakistan to 261/10 in the 4th innings. Prabath Jayasuriya picked up 5 wickets while Ramesh Mendis grabbed 4 wickets.
In the first innings, Sri Lanka posted 378/10 with fifties from Dinesh Chandimal (80), Niroshan Dickwella (51) and Oshada Fernando (50). In reply, Pakistan managed 231/10 where Agha Salman was the top scorer with 62 runs. Ramesh Mendis picked up 5 wickets for Sri Lanka.
In their second innings, Sri Lanka declared on 360/8 with a tremendous ton from Dhananjaya de Silva (109).
Earlier, Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss & opted to field first against Pakistan in the 2nd test. This match was played at Galle International Stadium, Galle.
