India's batter Suryakumar Yadav has bagged the ICC men's T20I player of the year award for his stellar performances in the 2022 season. He has scored 164 runs in 31 matches at an average of 46.56 and a strike-rate of 187.43.

Suryakumar Yadav is currently ranked No.1 among T20I batters and just the second batter to make more than 1000 runs in a calendar year in T20Is
