IND vs ZIM: After a classy fifty by KL Rahul, Suryakumar came out with guns blazing as India posted 186/5 against Zimbabwe in their last Super 12 stage match in T20 World Cup 2022. 

After an opening stand of 27 runs, Rohit Sharma (15) was dismissed in the 4th over. Man in form Virat Kohli was dismissed for only the second time in this tournament. Kohli managed 26 runs off 25 balls before Sean Williams got the better of the ace batter. 

KL Rahul on the other end scored 51 runs in 35 balls before getting dismissed in the 13th over. Rishabh Pant, playing his first match of the tournament, managed only 3 runs before an unbelievable catch by Sean Williams got the better of him. 

Thereon, Suryakumar Yadav came to the crease and continued his blazing form, smacking 61* runs in 25 balls with 6 fours & 4 sixes. With Hardik Pandya (18), Suryakumar added 65 runs for the 5th wicket, taking India to a good total.  For Zimbabwe, Sean Williams grabbed 2 wickets while Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava and Sikandar Raza managed 1 wicket each. 

Earlier, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss & opted to bat first against Zimbabwe in the Super 12 Group 2 match of T20 World Cup 2022. This match is being played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.
