In a do-or-die match in Round 1, T20 World Cup, Gareth Delany thwarts the West Indies team with his 3/16 and helped Ireland restrict West Indies to 146/5 here at Hobart.

After Winning the toss, skipper Nicholas Poora decided to bat first but his plans were dismantled by strong Irish bowling.

Brandon King scored 62 runs in 48 balls, and Charles got 24 which helped the side to reach a low total in the decider.

Ireland came up with the plan of giving 100% and executed them well as Delany (3), McCarthy (1), and Simi Singh (1) dismissed Indies. The rest of the bowlers didn't get any wickets but picked the spot well and bowled with a low economy.
