T20 World Cup: Sri Lankan bowlers restrict Namibia to 163/7 in the first match of the T-20 World Cup here at Geelong.
Namibia started their batting on an edgy note, as they were struggling with two wickets down during the powerplay. Jan Eaton (20), Stephen Baard (26), and skipper Erasmus (20) then stabilized the side and took them to a decent opening.
Later Jan Frylinch top scored with 44 of 28 deliveries which was the highest for his team along with JJ Smith (31 of 16) took Namibia to a competitive total.
Sri Lankan bowlers went good and tried to put pressure of the opponents by taking wickets at regular intervals.
Pramod Madushan grabbed 2/37. Theekhshana, Chameera, Karunaratne, and Hasaranga took one wicket each.
