Jasprit Bumrah saves the day for India as has got to his first first-class half-century on day 1 of the second warm-up game against Australia A being played in Sydney Cricket Ground. India got all out for 194.
Jasprit Bumrah was the highest run-getter today with a score of 55*. His innings included six fours and two sixes. Mohammad Siraj hurt his finger while batting but continued to bat. It will be interesting to see the seriousness of the injury and if Siraj comes on the field to take the new ball. The last wicket partnership between Bumrah and Siraj was 71.
India, opting to bat first, lost the early wicket of Mayank Agarwal. Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill stitched a 63 run partnership and set up a good platform for the rest of the batters to play. Shaw scored 40 runs off just 29 balls which included eight fours.
After losing the wicket of Shaw, India lost the track completely as they lost the next five wickets for just 39 at the end of the first session. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored just four runs while Rishab Pant was out for five. Wridhiman Saha couldn't open his account while Hanuma Vihari, coming to bat at number 4 scored 15 runs.
For Australia A, Jack Wildermuth picked up three crucial middle-order wickets - Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, and Rishab Pant.
