Top-order's powerful batting helps in India score 224/2 against England in the first innings of the 5th T20I here at Ahmedabad.
After being put in to bat first, India openers - Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli - started the innings well scoring 60 in the powerplay without losing any wicket. Rohit smacked 64 off 34 balls to give India the perfect start while Kohli played the anchor.
Suryakumar Yadav once again played an aggressive knock of 32 from just 17. He got out caught by Chris Jordan and Jason Roy in an unbelievable fashion at the boundary trying to attempt another six.
Kohli and Hardik Pandya then paired up in the death overs to push India past the 200 run mark - which came in the 19th over itself. The two added 67 runs in the last five overs.
