In the final of the Abu Dhabi T10 League between Deccan Gladiators and New York strikers on December 4th, the Nicholas Pooran-led Deccan Gladiators registered a 37-run win to successfully defend their title.
In this match, Namibian all-rounder David Wiese played a thunderous knock of 43* runs during which, he took one of the best death over bowlers in the world – Haris Rauf, as he smashed three sixes and a four in a single over by the Pakistani pacer.
This happened in the 8th over of the innings, where Gladiators were at 71 runs. Wiese came with a license to hit and targeted left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz and smacked the first delivery of the over for a six. Wiese followed up with two consecutive sixes on the 3rd and 4th delivery, and the last ball was dispatched towards backward point for four runs.

Gladiators posted 128/4 in 10 overs after being put in to bat first and went on to halt the New York Strikers to 91/5 in 10 overs, winning the match and the title by 37 runs. David Wiese was named the 'Player of the Match' for his knock of 43* runs in 18 balls.
