IND vs BAN 1st ODI: A wicket to start off the innings is exactly what a team needs while defending a low total, and that's what Deepak Chahar provided. Bowling the first over of the innings, Chahar tricked the Bangladesh opener with his swing, dismissing the batter for a golden duck.
Chasing 187 to win, Bangladesh needs to bat through and with the home advantage, it shouldn't be much of a task. However, the Indian bowlers showed from the first ball that they were far from giving up.
Chahar bowled a vertical seam ball on a good length just outside off to start the innings. The ball straightened to the end close to the off stump. Najmul Hossain Shanto, facing the first delivery, tried to run it down deep third. However, he got an outside edge and Rohit Sharma completed a single catch at the lone slip.
