IND vs BAN: Shreyas Iyer has been having a stellar Test career and with his unbeaten knock of day 1 of the first Test between India and Bangladesh, and became the first Indian even to score 10 consecutive double digit scores in his first 10 Test innings.
However, Shreyas Iyer was sruvived by a bit of luck along with his skills. After two dropped catches, Shreyas Iyer was cleaned up by Ebadot Hossain. But, he still survived!
On the 5th delivery of the 83rd over, Ebadot bowled pitched the delivery on a good length just outside off, which nipped into Shreyas Iyer. Iyer was beaten by lack of bounce and the ball brushed the off-stump on its way to the keeper.
The stumps and bails lit up for a second, and the bails just settled on the stumps instead of falling. The players converged to have a look, but the bails stayed still and Shreyas Iyer survived. Iyer was at 77* when this incident happened.
None of the players on the field could believe it, and bowler Ebadot Hossain could only manage a smile after this mis hap.

While talking about the match, India finished Day 1 on 278/6 after being at 112/4 in the 2nd session. Cheteshwar Pujara top scored with 90 runs while Iyer remained unbeaten on 82*. Rishabh Pant smacked 46 runs off 45 balls as well with 6 fours & 2 sixes.

Earlier, India captain KL Rahul won the toss & opted to bat first against Bangladesh in the 1st Test. This match is being played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.
