In the ongoing IPL 2022 final match between Gujarat Titans & Rajasthan Royals, Lockie Ferguson made a return after missing the last few matches. However, the bowler was trusted to play the finals by GT team management and replaced Alzarri Joseph in the playing XI.

Ferguson attracted attention on the last delivery of his first over. After conceding 6 runs in the first 5 deliveries, Ferguson bowled in a fiery delivery on the full length, just outside the off-stump. 

Jos Buttler, the batter was completely beaten by the line as well as the pace, completely missing the ball in an effort to drive it towards long-off. The speed gun recorded 157.3 KMPH, which is the fastest delivery of the season now.

Sunrisers Hyderabad 21-year old pacer Umran Malik earlier delivered a 157 KMPH delivery which was the fastest in the tournament.
