BBL 2022-23: Australian pace sensation Michael Neser has been in top form, and after being excluded in the Test series to make way for Pat Cummins, the bowler has shown his worth in the shorter format, picking up a hat-trick in the ongoing Big Bash League match between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat.
Michael Neser opened the bowling for Brisbane Heat while defending a target of 138, and struck on the first ball of the innings as he dismissed Sam Harper for a golden duck.
On the last delivery of the same over Neser dismissed Jake Fraser with a probing outswinger on the good length spot and Jake Fraser McGurk's feet were nowhere on the drive. Jake managed a nick which went straight to captain and wicketkeeper Jimmy Peirson.
Neser came to bowl the 3rd over and got rid of opposition captain Nic Maddinson on the first ball of the over. Neser bowled an angling away delivery that pitched around off stump and straightened off the deck just a bit to undo Maddinson completely who was looking to run it down to the third man. However, he managed only the bottom part of the bat on the ball as it went to dislodge the stumps.

On the next delivery, Jonathan Wells was on strike had a brain fade moment and left a delivery which was always coming into the right-hander. With a bit of inward movement, the bails were dislodged as Michael Neser completed his hat-trick & reduced the opposition to 9/4 in 2.2 overs.
