In the first ODI against England at Chester-le-Street, Durham, South Africa's highest run scorer in ODIs this year, Rassie van der Dussen smacked a tremendous ton in a winning cause for the Proteas.
Batting at #3, van der Dussen scored 134 runs in 117 balls before he was dismissed in the 46th over. A special aspect of this ton was not a single six was smashed by the batter, and only 40 runs were scored through boundaries (10 fours).
However, despite the lack of boundaries, van der Dussen maintained a strike rate of 114.52. With the help of this knock and fifties from Aiden Markram (77) and Janneman Malan (57), South Africa posted 333/5 in 50 overs.
