IND vs BAN: A twist of fate witnessed in the same match. Where Virat Kohli had to go back to the pavilion on Shakib Al Hasan's bowling, courtesy of a brilliant catch by Litton Das, Kohli turned back fate as he grabbed a one-handed stunner to send Shakib Al Hasan packing in the 1st ODI.
Chasing a meagre target of 187 runs to win, Bangladesh were in a bit of trouble at 74/3 with Narmul Hossain Shanto, Anamul Haque and captain Litton Das back in the pavilion. The experienced pair of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim held the crease to stabilize the innings.
A lot depended upon this partnership, but in the 24th over, Virat Kohli pulled off an unbelievable piece of fielding. On the 3rd delivery of the over, Washington Sundar bowled a flighted delivery which deceived Shakib in the air. The ball dipped and Shakib went for a drive which didn't had much control.
Shakib went on to drive the ball uppishly towards cover, where Virat Kohli flung to his right and plucked it out of thin air with one hand. Shakib Al Hasan was dismissed after scoring 29 runs in 38 balls with 3 fours.
