Mayank Agarwal was appointed as the captain of Punjab Kings today after KL Rahul had to be hospitalized to have surgery. Even though Punjab lost the match to Delhi by 7 wickets, PBKS captain Mayank was adjudged the Man of the Match. Agarwal scored 99* runs from 58 balls, smashing 8 fours & 4 sixes. After winning the man of the match award, he said “KL Rahul's going for surgery, hopefully, he should be back. Would've liked two points but we were ten short on that wicket and for the kind of PowerPlay they had, we had to really scramble there. One batsman had to bat through and that was the plan, it was my day and tried to get as many as we can but didn't get as many in the middle overs but at least ended well.”
