Wet Outfield Prevents Play In Zimbabwe West Indies Test
A wet outfield prevented play before lunch on the second day of the first Test between Zimbabwe and the West Indies in Bulawayo.
The umpires were due to inspect the Queens Sports Club pitch in the southwestern city at 12.40 local time (10.40 GMT).
Play was abandoned due to rain soon after lunch on the first day with the tourists 112-0 off 51 overs.
Openers Kraigg Brathwaite, the captain, and Tagenarine Chanderpaul were both 55 not out in what is the West Indies first match since legend Brian Lara was appointed performance mentor.
