After facing a loss in the first match, the West Indies bounced back in the second T20I to level the five-match series after defeating India by five wickets.
In the second T20I, after winning the toss skipper Nicholas Pooran called visitors to bat first. Rohit Sharma-led Indian batting collapsed to the meagre total of 138 runs after the magical career-best bowling by Obed McCoy, who scalped 4 wickets by leaking just 17 runs and a maiden out of four overs bowled by him.
The West Indies team was able to win the game with 4 balls to spare and secure a crucial victory over the consistent Indian side. Obed McCoy's spectacular ball skill earned him the title of player of the game (4-1-17-6).
In the second match which started after some delay, Indian batting collapsed early. Hardik Pandya (31) was the top scorer and only batter to cross the 30-run mark as India lost wickets at regular intervals.
Chasing the low total of 138 runs, West Indies batter Brandon King (68) scored an important fifty to put the home team in position for what appeared to be an easy victory before they faltered toward the end. From here, wicketkeeper-batsman Devon Thomas crucial unbeaten 31 helped Indies reach the target at 141 for five off 19.2 overs.
After suffering an unexpected loss at the hands of the West Indies, team India will be looking to rebound under the leadership of Rohit Sharma in the third T20I on Tuesday. The Men in Blue will be fired up to take on the opposition now that the series is tied at 1-1.
