Half-centuries from Smriti Mandhana, Mithali Raj, and Shafali Verma helped India score 274/7 against South Africa in the first innings of the 28th match of the World Cup 2022.
India opted to bat first and got off to a terrific start scoring 68 in the first ten overs. Shafali Scored 53 off 46 balls with the help of eight fours before getting runout. Yastika Bhatia got out cheaply for two.
Mandhana and Mithali added 80 runs for the third wicket. Smriti scored 71 in 84 balls before Chloe Tryon grabbed a brilliant catch to get her out.
Harmanpreet Kaur looked at her aggressive best as she continued with the momentum along with Mithali, who scored 68 in 84 balls.
Kaur's 48 helped India finish at 274 as South Africa picked late wickets for India to get the final flourish.
