ICC T20 World Cup 2007 Format

​Twelve teams contested ​for the title in the tournament​.The 12 teams were divided into four groups of three teams each. The top two teams from each group ​qualified ​for Super Eight. Eight teams were ​further ​divided into two groups of four teams each. The two top teams from each Super Eight group qualified for the semi-finals.
