There's this video of Shane Warne and Rashid Khan bowling at MCG from Big Bash League(BBL) 2019. Two leg spinners from two different generations talking, discussing the art of leg-spin. One is a T20 specialist and the other is someone who began playing cricket when T20 wasn't even thought by someone.

Yet, when the two leg-spinners were talking, no one could differentiate who is who. Warne was way ahead of his time. Warne was someone who marked his runup when everyone had written off leg-spin in cricket.

The news of Shane Warne not being anymore is a tragic loss to cricket. 

The fact that England and West Indies had to stop their warmup game midway through an over to pay respects to Shane Warne speaks volumes of how personal this loss is to the cricket fraternity. 

The fact that despite being in so many controversies throughout his career, every rival had his heartbroken knowing about the tragedy shows how competitive Warne was and how his opponents had to come with their A-game against him. 

Everybody knows about the ball of the century yet whenever that video pops up on the screen, we can't help but stop and wait to get surprised every time just like Mike Gatting was on that day of 1993. 

It once again makes us feel the awe of Shane Warne's skill and craft that inspired so many youngsters to take up the art of leg-spin. On every street, there was a Shane Warne slowly getting into his runup with his tongue touching his upper lip ready to conquer the world. 

But not everyone could be THE Shane Warne. Not anyone will be another Shane Warne. We could only hope that someone comes close to him so that Warne himself could laud him from the above sitting, commentating, and describing the art of leg-spin one more time.

Shane Warne changed the world of cricket. He clean bowled everyone with his craft. How we wish to be Mike Gatting facing Shane Warne just to be in awe of his craft that shattered the stumps and the hearts of the cricket fraternity as he left for his heavenly abode, untimely.
