After electing to bat first in the 1st ODI, southpaw Yuvraj Singh powered India to 339/6 in 50 overs with a knock of 131 runs in 102 balls with 10 fours & 7 sixes. Opener Dinesh Karthik and Yusuf Pathan also contributed with 67(77) and 40*(38) respectively.
West Indies in reply put up a great fight but ultimately fell short by 20 runs, courtesy of Ashish Nehra's 3 wickets.

West Indies made the mistake of putting India in to bat first at the batting surface of Vadodara, in the 4th ODI. Three of India's top f4 contributed hugely with the bat as India posted 341/3 in 50 overs. Sourav Ganguly scored 68 off 82 balls while opening, captain Rahul Dravid scored 78 off 109 balls batting at #3. However, 'Master Blaster' Sachin Tendulkar shone the most with 100* runs in 76 balls.
MS Dhoni also made a quickfire 40* off 20 balls. India went on to win the match by 181 after crumbling the Windies' batting lineup in the second innings.

In the 4th ODI between these two, played at Mumbai, India won the toss & opted to bat first. Opener and current Indian ODI & T20I captain Rohit Sharma proved this decision right as he smacked 162 runs in 137 balls, with 20 fours & 4 sixes. Ambati Rayudu also scored 100 from 81 balls before he was run out.
India won the match by 224 runs as Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed picked up 3 wickets each.

The tourists West Indies made a grave mistake as they won the toss and gave the advantage away by electing to bowl first. Opener Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul smacked individual tons, constructing an opening partnership of 227 runs in 222 balls. Shreyas Iyer came on to bat #4 after then-captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck, and scored 53 runs off 32 balls. India went on to post 387/5 in 50 overs.
In reply, a couple of West Indies contributed with the 70s - Shai Hope (78) & Nicholas Pooran (75) but the Windies fell short by 107 runs.

Sehwag scored 219 runs off 149 balls, smashing 25 fours & 7 sixes, completely sabotaging the Windies bowling attack. His opening partner Gautam Gambhir scored 67 off 67 while Sures Raina scored 55 off 44 balls, as India posted 418/5 in 20 overs.
