Anil Kumble, the legendary Indian leg spinner played vital role in many test matches that India won and was always ​known for his energy in the field. He bowled many match winning spells in his career but his bowling with broken jaw against West Indies at Antigua in 2002  is one of the most inspiring act of bravery on he field shown in the cricket history.

Batting at No. 7, Kumble was hit by West Indian fast bowler ​Merv Dillon. He spat out blood but batted on for another 20 minutes. Later on it was declared fracture by doctor but he still came to bowl with face bandaged and bowled 14 overs consecutively. He dismissed Brian Lara in his spell. The test ended in a draw but the courage with which Kumble bowled stole the whole show.  "At least I can now go home with the thought that I tried my best," Kumble said after the match.
