Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, nicknamed Master Blaster and Little Master, is probably the greatest batter to play cricket. The 'God of Cricket' was born in Mumbai on 24th April 1973. The world of cricket owes for his achievements and contribution to the sport.
After taking up cricket at the age of eleven, Tendulkar made his Test debut five years later against Pakistan in Karachi on 15th November 1989. After 24 years of dominating the world of cricket, Sachin played his last test match on 14th November 2013.
In between, the Sachin Tendulkar scored 100 international centuries - a world record yet to be broken. Tendulkar was part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011, led by MS Dhoni. He was close to winning in 2003 when India reached the World Cup Final, however, Sachin was the player of the tournament of that edition.
He is the recipient of many awards from Arjuna to Khel Ratna. Wisden ranked Sachin Tendulkar second greatest test batter after Don Bradman and second-best ODI batter after Viv Richards.
