ITF Davangere Open: Bogdan Bobrov Stuns Top Seed Chappell To Win Sixth ITF Title, Third On Hard Courts

Davangere Tennis Association Courts: Bogdan Bobrov stunned top seed Nick Chappell of the United States in straight sets in the final to win the ITF Davangere Open here on Sunday, winning 6-3, 7-6(4) to claim his 6th career ITF title and third on hard courts.

A week before, such an eventuality looked doubtful and it was Chappell who convinced him to play in Davangere.

Bobrov wasn’t feeling too well after the ITF Dharwad Open. His new friend and doubles partner over the last three weeks, Chappell coaxed him to come to Davangere, the host city of the ITF Davangere Open.
