Asian Games: Rower Parminder Singh Happy To Follow In His Father's Footsteps And Win Bronze For India

Fuyang Water Sports Centre:  As Indian rower Parminder Singh returned disappointed to the athletics village after finishing sixth in the Men's Double Sculls final at the Fuyang Water Sports Centre after being second for the majority of the race, he felt as if fate was conspiring against him and preventing him from taking the family legacy forward.

Parminder and his partner Satnam Singh were placed second when the latter felt a twist in his neck and they eventually rolled in sixth and last.

He felt he may have to wait for four more years to fulfil his dream of winning a medal at the Asian Games and emulating his father Inderpal Singh, who bagged a bronze medal in the Busan Asian Games in 2002.
