Cricket Development Sanjay Bangar: Despite a fine bowling performance led by pacers Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh and some brilliant rearguard batting by Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma, Punjab Kings suffered another defeat when they went down to Sunrisers Hyderabad by two runs in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The narrow defeat again exposed the uncertainties of the T20 game as despite some superb performances, a team can lose a match.
Punjab Kings are now all set for their sixth game in the IPL, and the Shikhar Dhawan-led franchise will face off against the in-form Rajasthan Royals at the new PCA Stadium on Saturday. The cracking contest will be a chance for the Kings to get a big win over a franchise who have maintained the top position in the points table for most of the season so far.
