Umran Malik made his IPL debut in the 2021 season and immediately grabbed everyone's attention with his extreme raw pace that even batters had trouble timing the ball. He played just three games in the entire season and picked two wickets yet Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) retained him along with captain Kane Williamson and Abdul Samad.
Clearly, they saw great potential in Umran's ability and wanted to explore and make use of it more in the coming seasons.
