WATCH: Dinesh Chandimal Smacks The Ball Out Of The Stadium, Hits A Pedestrian On Road
SL vs AUS - Sri Lankan ace batter Dinesh Chandimal showed excellent batting in the 2nd test between Sri Lanka and Australia at Galle International Cricket Stadium as he notched up his maiden career double century. Batting dominantly, Chandimal faced 326 balls and with the help of 16 fours & 5 sixes, scored an unbeaten 206 runs in the first innings.
With this, Chandimal became the first Sri Lankan player to score a double century against Australia. Prior to this, the biggest knock in terms of runs by a Sri Lankan batter against Australia in tests was played by former captain Kumar Sangakkara, in 2007 at Hobart where he scored 192 runs.
