BCCI Announces Squad For ODI Series Against Zimbabwe; Rahul Tripathi Gets A Chance
India vs Zimbabwe ODI: Ahead of the 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, starting on 18th August, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC) has announced the squad for team India. Riding on the back of tremendous performances in the IPL, Rahul Tripathi has been given a chance to represent the Indian team. Apart from this, pace all-rounder, Deepak Chahar makes his return to the team, who was out due to an injury since February. Washington Sundar has made his return with a good performance in the ongoing County Championship.
The team will be led by left-handed ace opener Shikhar Dhawan, who recently led India to their first clean sweep against West Indies in West Indies, winning the 3-match series 3-0. The selectors have rested several key players like regular skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah.
