Ahmed Shehzad Lashes Out At PCB, Withdraws From Cricket Champions Cup Over ‘favoritism And Injustice’
The 32-year-old cricketer took to the social media platform ‘X’ to express his frustration and disappointment with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), accusing the governing body of “favoritism, false promises, and injustice” towards domestic players.
Shehzad’s decision comes just weeks before the inaugural edition of the Champions Cup, a new tournament in Pakistan’s domestic cricket calendar aimed at bridging the gap between domestic and international cricket. The tournament, scheduled to be played from September 12-29, will include a series of matches across the 50-over, T20, and red-ball formats.
