England Climb To The Top Of World Super League Points Table With 3-0 Clean Sweep Against Netherlands
As England defeated Netherlands by 8 wickets in the 3rd ODI, they completed a 3-0 clean sweep against the Dutch. The strong batting unit helped England to a loss-less series against the neighbours, taking the English side to the top of the World Super League points table.
Before the series, England were at the third spot with 95 points to their name in 15 matches, registering 9 wins. However, the sheer dominance against the Dutch in the 3-match ODI series has taken them to the top of the World Super League points table with 125 points, overtaking Bangladesh & Afghanistan.
After restricting Netherlands to 244 courtesy of David Willey's 4 wickets. Dutch batters Max O'Dowd (50), Bas de Leede (56) & Edwards (64) contributed with fifties to take their team to a 200+ total. In reply, English opener Jason Roy smacked his 10th international ODI hundred while stand-in captain Jos Buttler smacked an unbeaten 86 runs off just 64 balls with 7 fours & 5 sixes as England chased down the total in just 30.1 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
