Dewald's mentor is former great AB de Villiers, and it shows in his batting style. In the ongoing IPL 2022, the youngster made his presence felt as he smacked Chahar for 4 consecutive sixes in an over.
Coming out to bat at #3 after MI lost skipper Rohit Sharma (28) in the 4th over, Dewald Brevis had an uncomfortable start. Struggling against short of good length deliveries against the pacers, the 18-year old targetted Punjab Kings' highest wicket-taker of the season till now and unleashed a show-off of his skill set.
