India Test vice-captain and opener KL Rahul paid tribute to off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on his retirement, citing him as 'one of the greatest spinners to have played for the country'. The 41-year-old Harbhajan announced his retirement from all forms of the game on Friday, bringing down the curtain on a glorious career spanning 23 years.
"Bhajji Pa has been one of the greatest spinners for our country and for us, as youngsters when we came to the dressing room, he has been very supportive and really welcomed us into the team. A big thank you to him and wish him the very best," said Rahul in the virtual press conference ahead of the first Test against South Africa starting from Sunday.
