Suryakumar Yadav Misses Out Man of the Match Award Despite His Blazing Knock Vs South Africa
Charismatic India batter Suryakumar Yadav might have missed out on the 'Man of the Match' award but his 61-run effort off just 22 balls against South Africa earned him several records in the series-clinching second T20 International at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium here on Sunday night.
Suryakumar completed an 18-ball half-century, the joint-second-fastest for India in the format to push India in the middle and end overs. Yuvraj Singh still holds the record for his 12-ball fifty in the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup in 2007. Surya equaled KL Rahul's feat to get to a brilliant fifty.
