India vs England, First Test: Joe Root's Record-Breaking Double Ton; India's Historic Loss In Stats
England defeated India in the first of the four test match series at Chennai. Joe Root was awarded Man of the Match for his knock of 218 in the first innings followed by a quickfire 40 in the second. India got bowled for 192 on the final day while chasing 420 to hand a 227 run win to England. The second test match will also be played at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.
