With this win, South Africa have moved to the top of the Group 2 points table while Pakistan have been virtually eliminated from the semi-finals race.
Chasing just 134 runs to win, South Africa lost their top 3 cheaply inside the powerplay. While Quinton de Kock (1) and in-form batter Rilee Rossouw (0) were dismissed in the 2nd over by Arshdeep Singh, captain Temba Bavuma was dismissed after a 15-ball-10 by Shami in the 6th over.
